Why Leak Detection?
Water loss through plumbing leaks or structure leaks can become very expensive over time. Not only is the cost of replacement water (a resource that is becoming more precious every year) expensive, the damage it can do to adjacent foundations and the pool structure itself can be extremely costly. In a leaking pool it can also be very difficult to maintain proper water chemistry. The cost of extra chemicals is expensive, and the loss of your pretty blue pool can be heart breaking.
We can perform leak detection on pools and spas. If you suspect that you have a leak, let us use our Leakalyzer to tell you for sure. This is a high tech piece of equipment that measures to 1/10,000 of an inch of water loss. Usually in 20 minutes we can tell you if you are losing water and how much water you are losing. It can also help us narrow down the possibilities of where the leak is.
If we have determined that you are losing water we can dive on the pool, using our scuba equipment, dye test any possible structure leaks, and/or pressurize the plumbing. We use specialized listening equipment to find the underground leak. We normally can locate an underground leak within 6 to 12 inches of its actual location.
